OGWA Studios is set to host the second edition of its flagship masterclass, themed The Audacity To Be Seen, as part of its continued efforts to equip African creatives and professionals with the knowledge and confidence required to build visible and impactful careers.
Known as TABS 2026, the event is scheduled to hold on August 21, 2026, in Lagos, Nigeria and is expected to bring together 65 creatives, founders, students and early-career professionals for a one-day intensive experience focused on personal branding, storytelling, identity and visibility.
The masterclass comes as Africa’s creative and entrepreneurial sectors continue to expand, creating new opportunities for professionals who can clearly communicate their ideas, expertise and value.
According to OGWA Studios, many talented Africans face challenges not because they lack ability, but because they struggle to define their identities, communicate their work and position themselves effectively within competitive industries.
TABS 2026 is designed to address that challenge by equipping participants with practical frameworks for developing stronger personal brands, taking ownership of their stories and presenting themselves confidently across professional and creative spaces.
The upcoming edition builds on the inaugural TABS masterclass held in Lagos in 2025 with the support of the Creative Economy Practice at Co-creation Hub, CcHUB.
The maiden event brought together creatives and professionals for an interactive experience centred on storytelling and branding. Participants reportedly left with clearer brand direction, greater confidence and practical strategies they could apply to their careers and businesses.
The event also created opportunities for professional relationships, collaborations and continued conversations beyond the gathering.
For its 2026 edition, OGWA Studios is introducing a more structured curriculum, expanded practical sessions, greater partner participation and sponsorship-backed access for emerging creatives, founders and young professionals who may otherwise face financial barriers to attending.
The initiative forms part of the studio’s broader contribution to Africa’s creative economy, which continues to generate opportunities in entrepreneurship, media, culture, technology and employment.
TABS 2026 will feature facilitators working across storytelling, business, journalism, leadership, wealth creation, media and product innovation.
Confirmed speakers include Prosper Light, storyteller and Founder of OGWA Studios; Connor, a venture architect; Ambassador Nimi Adegbite, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cirvee; Eefomaa Elentiya, media catalyst and presenter; Oluwaseun Ambassador, family office architect and wealth strategist; Sam Adedoyin, journalist, influencer and community leader; Akinyemi Akinola, creative director; and Tolu Adibe, product and project leader.
Additional speakers are expected to be announced ahead of the event.
Through workshops, conversations and interactive sessions, the facilitators will guide participants through approaches to building credible personal brands, communicating their ideas, developing sustainable careers and creating businesses capable of reaching wider audiences.
OGWA Studios is a purpose-driven creative studio working across storytelling, identity, culture and representation. Guided by the motto, “Authentic stories, boldly told,” the studio applies its storytelling philosophy to media production, education and community development.
The studio said TABS reflects the belief that storytelling is not limited to films, campaigns or media productions, but also influences how people present their identities, careers and professional contributions.
The 2026 edition is supported by Creativerse by Fidelity, while Crest Africa, Laerryblue Media and Empire Magazine Africa are serving as official media and community partners.
OGWA Studios is also seeking additional financial sponsors, strategic partners and ecosystem organisations interested in supporting the development of Africa’s next generation of founders, creatives and cultural leaders.
Partnership opportunities range from Supporting Partner to Lead Partner and include brand visibility and audience engagement before, during and after the masterclass.
According to the organisers, supporting TABS goes beyond event sponsorship, as it represents an investment in the knowledge, network and visibility emerging African professionals require to build globally relevant work.
TABS 2026 is expected to serve as a meeting point for creatives, professionals, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders seeking practical insights, stronger networks and clearer approaches to building impactful ideas.
